Over the summer, team members of Red Raider Robotics faced a few issues in the Milwaukee regional. While we were there, we have encountered a phenomenal robot that used a swerve drive which could rotate 360 degrees by Team 2481, when our robot utilized a tank drive.
Our team decided that we are going to meet over the summer to improve as a team, in hopes of making a better robot in the future.
In the first session, we gathered together to explore the geometry that was used for the swerve drive robot. We have also learned that we needed a more advanced programming language for the swerve drive. We had been using Lab View in the past two years, but now we are thinking of making it easier for the swerve drive, so we've decided to learn more and discover Java.
